Digital Buddies is a Chester based community initiative that aims to help older members of the community become more confidant in using modern technology. With the help of volunteers we are working together to bring a friendly and relaxed attitude to technology education. We provide free workshop based sessions in a friendly and welcoming environment, as well as working one-to-one with people who attend the sessions. We welcome people of all abilities, from total beginners to more experienced users.

Our sessions cover a wide range of topics, and have so far included: email safety, social networking, online banking and streaming, amongst others.

There is no need to book in advance - simply turn up, learn, socialise, and get to grips with modern technology!

Today, new technology is becoming more prominent. Those without the knowledge to master the basics such as sending an email, surfing the net or using a mobile phone may find life is becoming increasingly difficult as older methods of communication and operations change to a new technology-based society.
Many people need help in being able adapt and learn how to grasp the concept of using new technology Digital Buddies is here to provide free help to those who need it.
